Website Design:
We have you in mind:
We work with our customers, and learn about your goals, your brand, who your customers are, and who your competitors are. Every design has you in mind. There are no cookie cutter templates at Colt Tech.
Intelligent Design:
We understand what customers want to see in a website; they want information about your company, and they want to be able to get that information easily. Our designs focus on putting the information at your customers fingertips.
Our design moves beyond just the visual aesthetics of a page, and helps promote a content-rich environment. Through this, you will notice lower bounce-rates, more repeat visits, and increased brand recognition.
Latest Technology:
We use the latest technology from Adobe and Corel to take the designs from concept to reality. The possibilities are limitless.
We test all of our sites extensively before publishing them to the web. This ensures a smooth transition with an error free environment.
Design Process
There are essentially 5 main steps to the design process:
Briefing:
This is perhaps the most important step. It is here that we find out what you are looking for, and where you want to go. We also get the chance to learn about you and your company - who you really are. This takes the website beyond some lifeless tool, but into something that is a living part of your company.
Rough Draft:
Using the information gathered from the briefing, we will put our brains to work to come up with multiple rough drafts. We'll also take this time to do more research into your product, and industry so that we can deliver a better selection of drafts to choose from.
Rendering:
At this point we take the top few rough drafts and render them in the computer. It is here that we add color, and are able to see more clearly what the end product will look like. From here we are able to combine the best parts of each site. Or, we can pull more ideas from the rough draft section.
Application:
This is where we take the design from a non-interactive picture to an actual site.
Usability Testing:
If the briefing is the most important step, then usability testing is definitely the second most important. Just like you would never hand in a paper without proof reading it, we would never publish a website without testing to make sure it is functioning the way it should. Usability testing is done throughout the process, and not only at the end. This ensures that the site is easy to navigate and use.
